It’s no secret that dentists everywhere have issues with Halloween. The spookiness the costumes and the scary movies are all great – but the bags of candy are not. There is no single holiday that can do more damage to children’s teeth.
That’s why the Reveal Dental team is proud to announce that we are continuing our annual Candy Buy Back program to support Operation Gratitude! We saw unprecedented success with this event in 2017 and expect even better turnouts this year. Here’s how it works.
Get Cash for Candy AND Support Our Troops at Reveal Dental
From November 1-9, we encourage children and their parents to bring any Halloween candy collected to us here at Reveal Dental. We’ll pay $1 per pound of candy, up to five pounds. Cash might not be as sweet as candy, but it certainly is much better for the teeth!
However, we’re not hoarding this candy for ourselves. Instead, it will go into care packages to be shipped to our soldiers overseas through Operation Gratitude. Soldiers have limited access to foods from home – candy included – so these Halloween treats will be a great morale-builder. It’s also a great way to say that Cedar Park wants our overseas troops to be happy!
It’s really that simple. Bring us your candy, and we’ll pay you for it while supporting the troops.
Help Children Understand the Dangers of Sugar Consumption
Children should be encouraged to eat candy in moderation.
However, with the candy buy-back initiative, your children can still have all the fun of trick-or-treating. Afterward, you can help them understand why sharing it –and getting cash- is a much better idea than eating all of it!
